Hi, my name is Jack and I’m a senior. This is my fourth year on staff and I am the Sports Editor. In school, I’m a varsity scholastic bowl member, a singer in Cleftomaniacs and member of film club. In my free time, I like movies, reading and writing, going on adventures with friends, playing the drums and meeting new people.

On Jan. 19, 2024, the varsity boys basketball team huddles together during a tough game against the Warren Township Blue Devils. This close game, which the Blue Devils narrowly won 77-69, was a result of the hard work and communication between this team. Senior Henry Calsin said that “whether [we’re] up or down in the game, weve gotten a lot better at knowing how to [communicate] in a good and competitive manner.”

Aided by her older brother Patrick, Alexandra “Alex” Scott held her first lemonade stand in 2000, when she was four years old. Scott, diagnosed just before her first birthday, became the symbol and catalyst for an organization that has since raised over $250 million.

Founded in 2005, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) has raised millions through different stands and donors in support of ending pediatric cancer. The project has funded nearly 1,000 medical research grants and 150 institutions in the United States and Canada since its inception.
