LHS Bands Blow The Crowd Away For Their Winter Performance

Freshman Nina Landvick, playing with the symphonic winds, carries the beat on the typonany drums. Landvick is also the only female percussionist in LHS’ band.

Sophomore Owen Gohr, cellist in LHS’ orchestra, takes the stage, multitasking between the double bass and bass guitar throughout the evening’s performance.

Junior Violet Biggs juggles two separate instruments throughout the evening, playing varying instruments, including the bassoon and contrabassoon between symphonic winds and wind ensemble.

Senior and soloist George Huber takes the stage, ready to blow the crowd away with his incredible performance on the trombone.

The concert bands open the evening’s performance with a lovely Japanese piece, titled “Ancient Flower”, composed by Yukiko Nishimura.

Student sin Auto I and Auto II will get to learn valuable car maintenance skills as well as learn how to build an engine and operate the machinery within the shop.

In Graphics class, students can create many projects, including screen printing . This involves creating a design on Adobe Illustrator, printing out their design on a vellum paper and exposing the design onto a screen to cure the emulsion. This student is pulling the ink over their design.

The Red Door Studio s a brand new recording studio within LHS Studio Theatre. It is full of high-tech recording equipment that is available to students enrolled in Music Production and Sound Recording.

Pictured is the darkroom where Darkroom Photo students process and develop their film. The only light allowed within the room are red lights which protect the film getting ruined when being developed.
