Girls soccer zips past Zion-Benton in second to last home game of the season

On Thursday, May 4, 2023, the Libertyville girls varsity soccer team played their penultimate home game against the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees. In a well-fought and high-scoring contest, the home team came out ahead with an 8-0 win, a morale boost for the team and goals from six different athletes. Sophomore Tess McGormley (5), who had one of the goals, said that she loves “the possession and being able to play with the team. I love the energy that we bring.” The team is now first in the conference and will play their final home game against the St. Viator Lions of Arlington Heights on Thursday, May 11.
