I'm Jana and I'm a senior. This is my second year on staff and I'm the staff team building and communications manager. Outside of DOI, I'm in MSA, run cross country and enjoy reading.

Six year-old Wadea al-Fayoume was stabbed in his apartment in Plainfield, Illinois, on Oct. 13 2023, in an Islamophobic hate crime. Hanaan Shahin, Wadea’s mother, was stabbed and strangled, leaving her injured as well. The killing, perpetrated by landlord Joseph Czuba, gained significant media attention and public outcry.

It’s clear that with many high schools, sports bring the community together. The same can be said for LHS. Showcased at various sporting events and assemblies, juniors Morgan Short, Francesca Crovetti, and sophomores Kailynn Kilpatrick and Olivia Vanheirseele, are apart of the LHS cheer team and have a great presence year round.

Wadsworth (Rosie Wagner) and Professor Plum (Cole Keriazakos) carry Mr. Boddy’s dead body (Hope Wagner) in an attempt to hide it from the police who are on their way. Confused and scared, the guests must hide any evidence that a murder occurred while also avoiding having the same fate as Mr. Boddy.
