Danielle Navarro, a senior at LHS, is part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. DACA protects children whose parents traveled to the United States undocumented. They cant be deported, and they can work and apply for college through DACA. Danielle has been protected by DACA since 2015 and recently sent a renewal request. But because of the stricter process under President Donald Trump, the request wasnt fulfilled, as a result of her attorney forgetting to add an e to Belize, the country Danielle is from, on the form.
