Another Successful Writers Expo

The Slant of Light literary arts magazine is expected to come out in May before the school’s art show. The magazine serves as a way for students to showcase writing and art pieces with students and visitors to the school and magazine rocks with copies of Slant of Light can be found at the school’s entrances. “It's such a great opportunity to show what really great stuff students are capable of,” Slant of Light magazine advisor Mr. Tooley said. “We wish more students took the time, either just to look at it for five minutes or to submit their stuff.”

Vinny Jiuditta, one of the presenters during Writers Expo, shares poetry and personal words from his own life during the fifth period portion of the expo on Thursday, March 23. “I love to share with the kids and try to give inspiration, and let you know that we’ve all been there, and just positive words of advice to try to move on and reflect by writing and how writing can help you,” said Jiuditta, a regular attendee of the school’s writing club as well as the assistant coach for varsity wrestling. “I think a lot of the kids gravitated towards that.”
