Hi, my name is Jordan Lui and I am a freshman. Along with being a first year staffer, I run Cross Country and plan to join the Math Team in my off season. Outside of school I play badminton and enjoy spending time with friends.

Senior Jack Barry, attending the United States Military Academy West Point.

Senior Hayden Anderson, is attending College of Lake County and aiming to transfer to University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign. When talking about deciding to go to College of Lake County, Anderson says, “Definitely decide what you want. Like beforehand if you go to a university and you hate [it] and want to come back, then you're not gonna get the whole experience of college”.

Senior Yvie Gaiden, studying abroad in Madrid, Spain in the first semester at St. Louis University’s Madrid campus through Northeastern University.

Senior Max Glusic, planning on attending Paramedic School at Advocate Condell Hospital or Lake Forest Hospital. When asked about why he decided to apply to become a paramedic, Glusic said, “Honestly, just being able to help people out, that's the big thing that drives me to be a first responder”.

Senior Lauren Hilts, attending St. Louis University and joining the ROTC program.

Sophomore soloist Davis Hillback plays the tenor sax. Of the three songs the Lab Band played, Davis performed as a soloist in two of them: “Alamode” and “Hip N’ Cool”.

Freshman soloist Braeden Weaver performs a solo in “Alamode” on the Trombone in the Jazz Lab Band.

Mr. Ben Voigt conducts the Jazz Lab Band. Mr. Voigt and the Lab Band performed three songs Thursday night, being “Alamode”, “Hip N’ Cool”, and “Mas Blues”.

Senior Sam Foster, who plays the alto saxophone on the Jazz Lab Band, waves at the audience after their final piece. “[Jazz is] just something that I enjoy personally, and I wanted to do,” Foster said.

Mr. Karnstedt conducts the Jazz Ensemble for their final performance. “A lot of seniors that graduated last year, so we had a lot of people that were just in the band for the first time and they definitely exceeded my expectations," Karnstedt said.

Senior Em Risman on the Trombone, plays for the Jazz Ensemble. She performed a solo in “Emancipation Blues”, trading back and forth with the other trombones.

Sophomore Richie Dombrowski plays for the Jazz Ensemble. He had solos in two songs, Emancipation Blues and Like It Is. “A scallywag like myself holds the opinion that soloing is like food, it's a delicacy,” Dombrowski said.

Junior Liam Neilson performs for the Jazz Ensemble. He also performed as a soloist in “Emancipation Blues”.

Senior Bre Dunworth performs a solo on the tenor Saxophone. Dunworth performed this solo for Emancipation Blues.

Junior Vocalist Wren Frey sings “Something’s Gotta Give” by Johnny Mercer with the Jazz Ensemble.

Junior middle blocker Jordan Coughlin (40) goes up for a hit. Coughlin had 3 kills in the game against the Titans.

The Wildcats and Titans meet at the net to exchange handshakes at the end of the second set, which ended in a 25-19 loss for Libertyville.

Junior defensive specialist and outside hitter Justin Howell (4) serves against the Titans in the first set. Justin had two digs across both sets in the game against Glenbrook South.

Sophomore libero and outside hitter Jackson Kern (11) serves in the first set.

Sophomore libero and outside hitter Jackson Kern (11) dives for the ball. Kern had seven digs across both sets.

The Wildcats come together in-between sets. Despite losing the game, the team, according to junior Justin Howell (4), was said to have, “good positive energy, especially outside the court [and] good team chemistry.”

Sophomore outside hitter Connor Desiron (16) hits the ball past Glenbrook South’s players in the second set.

Junior middle blocker Jordan Coughlin (40) serves in the second set against Glenbrook South.

Senior Ben Van Lyssel (3) goes in for a layup. Van Lyssel made a total of seven layups throughout the game, ultimately recording a team high of 32 points.

Choir teacher Dr. Brown poses with his student-made music stand hall pass. When Dr. Brown needed to create a hall pass, he sought out the opinion of his senior students for ideas. “I think in the whole school [teachers] were all trying to come up with our own bathroom pass scenario,” Dr. Brown said.
