On Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, the boys varsity basketball team bested the Mundelein Mustangs 73-59, giving them their first conference win of the season and bringing their overall record to 4-7. The Wildcats started the game with a three-pointer that gave them the lead, which they kept for the entire game, despite Mundelein getting close to closing the gap at times. Libertyville will next play in a District 128 match-up against the neighboring Vernon Hills Cougars, on Friday, Dec. 22.
