Students gather at Downtown Libertyville to decorate windows for homecoming week

On Sunday, Sept. 29, students from several different clubs, sports and activities participate in the annual homecoming tradition of painting shops and restaurants in Downtown Libertyville from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This year’s homecoming theme is “Once Upon a Homecoming” so many clubs incorporated Disney themes into their designs. This event is sponsored by Parent Cats who supply students with paint and brushes at Cook Memorial Park to decorate their windows. Window Painting marks the start of the weeklong homecoming traditions.
