Boys basketball falls to Warren in close conference matchup

The LHS boys basketball team fell in a game against Warren Township on Friday, Jan. 25, ending with a 52-46 loss. Having the lead for most of the first half, the Cats outplayed the Blue Devils during the beginning of the game, but Warren outscored the Wildcats in the third and fourth quarters.
Fans and players alike enjoyed the “Silent Seven” at this game, an event where the crowd stayed quiet until the seventh point was scored for the Wildcats, then erupting into applause and cheering. After Friday night’s loss, the Cats possess an overall record of 10-10 and a 3-5 record in conference. The team hopes to snap its two-game losing streak against Buffalo Grove on Tuesday, Jan. 29.
