Derek Calamari, a senior playing at the number one spot, approaches the green on hole number four.

With four of their six golfers individually placing and a team total of 324, the Libertyville boys varsity golf team won the Antioch Roger Alm Invitational on Saturday, Sep. 8, at Spring Valley Country Club in Salem, Wisconsin. The team was led by sophomore Danny Keating, who shot a 77, placing second overall. Juniors James Schmidt and Bruce Jahncke placed fourth and eighth, respectively; Senior Derek Calamari placed 11th. The Wildcats’ win followed a tough loss to Mundelein last Thursday. The team takes on Zion-Benton at Shepherd’s Crook on Thursday, Sep. 13.
