Hi there! My name is Andrew Schinler, and I am the Features Editor here on DOI. I am a senior and this is my second year on staff! I am involved in the band program here at LHS and outside of school, I enjoy music and spending time with family and friends.

The Symphonic Band, under the baton of Mr. Adam Gohr, plays a spirited march, featuring contrasting dynamics and instrumental coloring throughout. “It’s always great to be able to showcase not just our premier ensembles but our younger ensembles as well,” Mr. Gohr said.

Dr. Brown conducts the LHS Concert Choir, leading them in “The Holiday Season” by Andy Williams. Dr. Brown has been teaching at Libertyville High School since 2001 and works to enhance the choir experience for his students. “Please come and be in choir,” said Dr. Brown. “If you're reading this, it's a fun place to be, and it's singing is not something that is so scary. I enjoy music and want to be around people who enjoy singing and having fun.”

On Sunday, May 19, Illinois Congressman Brad Schneider gives a speech at the 2024 Women for Brad luncheon, discussing his support for women's reproductive rights. Schneider has been very vocal of his support for women, having supported the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA) and "will always stand with Planned Parenthood," according to his political platform.

Many students eat lunch in the LHS cafeteria. Groups of students can be found here during all lunch periods, third through sixth. Students even spend time here before school officially starts. In addition, students can also buy various foods such as pizzas, sandwiches, chicken tenders and many other items.
