Epstein Birthday Book

On September 8th, 2025, the U.S. House Committee released a 238-page document named “Epstein’s Birthday Book.” Though parts of the document were redacted, this birthday book contained never-before-seen pictures and writing that belonged to Epstein, including childhood photos and birthday letters sent to him by friends and business colleagues.

One of these colleagues happens to be President Donald Trump, who writes about their relationship.

“A pal is a wonderful thing, Happy birthday – and may every day be a wonderful secret,” President Trump says.

President Trump vehemently denies writing this birthday card in a Truth Social post.

“The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein,” he says. “These are not my words, not the way I talk.”

Shooting at Evergreen High School in Colorado

On September 10th, 2025, 16-year-old Desmond Holly opened fire on Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colorado around 12:30 pm MST, the school’s lunchtime. Holly shot two students, one outside the school and another inside the building, before ultimately dying from a self-inflicted gunshot. Both students were transferred to the hospital, one in critical condition while the other was reported to be in stable condition. The Jeffco Sheriff’s Office says that further tragedy was prevented by the actions of staff and students at Evergreen. It’s unknown when classes will resume at Evergreen as police are still conducting an investigation.

Gen Z Enact Change in Nepal

In Nepal, tensions escalated after the government imposed a sudden ban on major social media platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube on Sep. 4, 2025. This ban was seen, especially by the Gen-Z community, as an attempt to silence growing frustrations over corruption, nepotism and inequality.

To enact change, many Nepalese nationals participated in protests, which were met with poor government handling and violence, resulting in over 70 deaths and other widespread destruction of government buildings—such as schools and businesses tied to political leaders. Although the government has since lifted the curfew and schools are slowly reopening, Nepal remains in a fragile state, hopeful that a new leadership will emerge to address the longstanding problems rooted in corruption and mismanagement.

Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk Shot Dead at University Event

On Sep. 10, 2025, political activist and media personality Charlie Kirk was assassinated while addressing an audience at Utah Valley University. The event was the first stop on Kirk’s new tour, organized by his organization, Turning Point USA. While engaging in debate on gun violence, shots rang out, and Kirk was hit in the neck by a rooftop gunman. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after. State law enforcement and the FBI quickly launched an investigation, arresting a suspect who was later proven not to be the killer. A manhunt was declared to find the true suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who was found and arrested on the morning of Sep. 12. While the alleged assassin was detained, the situation remains polarizing as differing reactions from each side of the aisle reveal a nation at odds with itself.
