Sophomore Atreyee Hati presents her speech “Are We Dystopian?” to kick off the annual Writers Expo event. She started her speech with a poll by asking students how many have used AI this past month, week and day. Drawing on themes from Ray Bradbury’s book “Fahrenheit 451,” she reflected on parallels between the book’s warnings and today’s society with the growing use of AI.
From Thursday to Friday, March 12-13, students and staff showcased their passion for writing at the school’s annual Writers Expo. 2026 marked the 15th annual event and doubled the number of student participants from last year. Students had the chance to hear their teachers share writing and songwriting, professionals who incorporate writing into their work and their fellow classmates’ work.
