State Senate – 31st District
Democrat:
- Mary Edly-Allen – Edly-Allen is a former state representative in the 51st District who strongly believes in advocating for women’s rights and reproductive rights. She is a bilingual teacher who also believes in fiscally responsible eco friendly policies and more ethical government in the state of Illinois.
- Sam Yingling – Yingling is the first elected LGBTQ member of the Illinois General Assembly outside of Cook County. He has been a strong advocate of marriage equality and helping our environment. He wants to lower taxes for residents by cutting out unnecessary or redundant services.
Republican:
- Adam Solano – Solano wants to root out corruption in Illinois politics at all levels. He believes that current legislators have not done enough to keep property taxes at bay. Currently, Solano has his own firm in the financial services industry.
