Matt Heldman
Matt Heldman (Class of 1994) led the boys basketball team to the state quarterfinals in 1994, the furthest the team has ever gone in the postseason, and won All-State honors that year. He then went on to be a standout player for the University of Illinois. Following his tragic death in a car accident, the school decided to hang his jersey in the main gym. It is one of the only jerseys hanging at LHS.
