Boys basketball gains first win over Carmel, 57-46
Ready to play their cross town rivals from just down the road, the starting five are all business in the final moments before tip-off.
Grabbing their first win of the year, the LHS boys basketball team overcame the Carmel Corsairs on Tuesday, Nov. 27 with a 57-46 win. Starting off hot, the Cats won the tip-off and had a substantial lead with plenty of momentum at the beginning of the game. But the Corsairs pushed back, bringing the Cats’ lead down to only one point in the fourth quarter. Carmel’s efforts weren’t up to par, however, as the Wildcats locked down on defense and finished their chances to win the game.

![Wildcats do their pre -race circle that consists of chants and cheers to hype up the team. “I think cross country is such an interesting sport, in the way we're all kind of struggling together at the same time," senior Emme Fogle said. "[We have] comfort knowing that everyone's kind of going through the same thing. It's kind of incredible.”](https://www.lhsdoi.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Screenshot-2025-09-25-3.14.42-PM-600x361.png)
