Best Buddies Talent Show

On Thursday, April 26, Libertyville High School’s Best Buddies chapter held its annual talent show in the main gym. Many of the buddies performed solo acts while others did duets or had group performances, all in front of parents or friends. In addition to the talent show, club advisor Mrs. Nancy Stevens was recognized for her work in Best Buddies as she is retiring at the end of this school year.

Wildcats do their pre -race circle that consists of chants and cheers to hype up the team. “I think cross country is such an interesting sport, in the way we're all kind of struggling together at the same time," senior Emme Fogle said. "[We have] comfort knowing that everyone's kind of going through the same thing. It's kind of incredible.”

Taking place during the French Revolution, Marius (Micheal Boman) and other townsmen fight government soldiers at the barricade. While most of the characters meet their end, the victories during this scene prove there will always be light in the darkness. “Les Misérables is a story about hope,” junior Julianna Rodriguez, who plays Cosette, said. There is so much darkness, but every dark night will end.”
