Boys basketball wins convincingly over Lake Zurich, extending winning streak to five
The Libertyville boys basketball team won over Lake Zurich on Friday, Feb. 16, 64-45, behind Senior Drew Peterson’s 31 points. Lake Zurich had trouble finding any gaps in the Libertyville defense. Libertyville gave up their fourth-lowest amount of points in a game this season, while Lake Zurich scored their third-fewest offensively.
Libertyville is beginning to find its stride before the state playoffs.This brings Libertyville to 17-6 on the season, and 10-3 in conference. They play their final regular season game on Monday, Feb. 19, vs. Stevenson. With a win on Monday, Libertyville will clinch the North Suburban Conference championship.
