The Libertyville volleyball team celebrates their Regional Championship win, for the third consecutive year.

The LHS girls varsity volleyball team won the Regional Championship against the Warren Blue Devils for the third year in a row. They won in three sets. The first set score was 25-22, Warren; it was 25-23 Libertyville in the second, and 25-23 for the winning third set; the match was played at Cary Grove High School.

Senior Oliver Allen (15) searches for an opportunity to secure a goal for his team to tie the game. Despite facing a one-goal deficit to the Vernon Hills Cougars, Allen’s effort on the field paid off with a goal off a cross from senior Mateo Portillo (10) later in the game.

For the final piece, a combination of Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble played an extravagant song by Paul Hindemist. Flute soloist Dakota Olson had her moment highlighted within this song. “[My solo] was definitely challenging but it was fun too,” Olson said.
