LHS Volleyball Wins Regionals Against Warren

The Libertyville volleyball team celebrates their Regional Championship win, for the third consecutive year.

The LHS girls varsity volleyball team won the Regional Championship against the Warren Blue Devils for the third year in a row. They won in three sets. The first set score was 25-22, Warren; it was 25-23 Libertyville in the second, and 25-23 for the winning third set; the match was played at Cary Grove High School.

Wildcats do their pre -race circle that consists of chants and cheers to hype up the team. “I think cross country is such an interesting sport, in the way we're all kind of struggling together at the same time," senior Emme Fogle said. "[We have] comfort knowing that everyone's kind of going through the same thing. It's kind of incredible.”

Taking place during the French Revolution, Marius (Micheal Boman) and other townsmen fight government soldiers at the barricade. While most of the characters meet their end, the victories during this scene prove there will always be light in the darkness. “Les Misérables is a story about hope,” junior Julianna Rodriguez, who plays Cosette, said. There is so much darkness, but every dark night will end.”
