Libertyville Girls Volleyball Advances to Regional Finals

Libertyville Girls Volleyball defeated Cary Grove in the regional semi-finals Tuesday October 24 in their match hosted at Cary Grove High School. The Cats lost the first game with a score of 24-26, but pulled through with a win, winning the second and third game 26-24 and 25-22 respectively. The Cats will play in the regional finals Thursday October 26 at 5:30 at Cary Grove High School.

On Saturday, March 11, the D128 Special Olympics basketball team wins state at the Unified High School State Tournament Basketball Championship in Champaign, Ill. For the final piece, a combination of Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble played an extravagant song by Paul Hindemist. Flute soloist Dakota Olson had her moment highlighted within this song. “[My solo] was definitely challenging but it was fun too,” Olson said.
