“I got a detached retina when I was five. Basically, there was a tear in [my] retina. That wrecked my eye. They had to put a buckle around [my retina]. After both surgeries, I can see without glasses. Sometimes it’s hard to see in class, so I have to talk to somebody next to me [to see] what it says on the board,” said sophomore Zach Zaslavsky.
