“I love [AP U.S. History]. There are just so many different aspects and different perspectives you can look at. I feel like there’s still so much that we’re not taught [in AP U.S. History] like…John Hanson. [He was] technically the first elected president of the United States, but he was just president of the Congress Assembly, so we don’t count him as president. But I was never taught that; I had to go out and learn that on my own, but now I think he’s the first president,” explained junior, Zach El Ghatit.
