“I basically have no life outside of animation, I just go home and just sit in my room and watch YouTube all night while animating,” shared senior Brandon Kolaczewski…“It all started [in 2015] when (animator) Monty [Oum] died and then I got into 3D animation. Then my grandpa died… Most recently my friend Josh Church died, so I’ve just been trying to use their memories to motivate me…When I went to visit SCAD I was thinking I was going to go in there and just be kind of an average person in there and then I was getting told that I might be the person who has my own studio when I graduate college… I showed my demo reel that I made to a 2D animation professor…He said: ‘yeah this looks good, but your drawing sucks.’ I completely understand,” he laughed. “My drawing does suck. I got to improve my drawing but it still was pretty cool.”
