On Wednesday, March 13, the varsity badminton team faced off against the Glenbrook North Spartans. Although ending in a loss, the home team put in all their effort, fighting through each game against strong opponents. The team’s next match up is against Deerfield on Tuesday,

Junior Lyn George, ranked first for varsity singles, locks in for her singles match. George said that she’s “trying to play to learn the game more and grow my technique, rather than focusing on the win or loss.”

Carollo, a team captain, scored twice in the game’s second quarter. “We just knew we had to come in and focus on us and that’s what we did,” Carollo said. “Everyone was scoring, all parts were moving and we did our job.”
