State Representative – 51st District

Democrat:

  • Chelsea Laliberte-Barnes – A former social worker, Laliberte-Barnes is a strong advocate for expanding mental health resources for residents, especially young people. She wants to promote initiatives to help those struggling with addiction, and helps lead Live4Lali, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting the opioid epidemic. 
  • Nabeela Syed – A lifelong resident of Palatine, Syed is a community organizer who wants to build a stronger economy based upon environmentally friendly policies. She believes in better representation for minorities in government, and if elected, will be the first Muslim and South Asian woman in the Illinois General Assembly.

Republican:

  • Chris Bos – Bos is currently the state representitive for the 51st District, where he has fought to protect the rights of families and has worked to keep our community safer. He belives in community service and Midwestern family ideals. He wants to support law enforcement officers to keep violence and drugs off the streets.
