Boys basketball battles Lake Forest but loses close game
On Saturday, December 4th, the boys basketball team lost to Lake Forest, 60-49, dropping their record to 3-2 on the season. After trailing 17-4 in the first quarter, the Cats fought back and faced only a 3 point deficit in the second half before the Scouts ultimately pulled away. Junior Jack Huber and senior Chase Bonder led the way offensively, each scoring double figures. Seniors John Graham and Dylan McCarty came up big on the defensive side of the ball to help the Cats get back into the game. This was the first home boys basketball game of the season and it was played in front of a packed crowd, decked out in orange and showing spirit. The Cats will be back at LHS on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a conference matchup against Lake Zurich.
