Mr. Wiggins

“As freshman kids come into high school, I guess there’s a lot of nervousness. Helping them realize that they can do this, I just try to help relieve some of their anxiety and stress. I always have the idea of [being] the teacher you’d want to have. Put yourself in [your students’] shoes… Be the teacher you’d want to have sitting in front of you. I try to live up to that expectation,” explained LHS Geography teacher Mr. Matthew Wiggins.

Here Mr. Wiggins is shown pointing to his hometown, Belleville, Illinois, where his love for social studies first began.
