Drops of Ink staff awaits news on a connecting flight from Cleveland to Chicago

Due to severe weather conditions surrounding the Chicago area, Flight 1462 from Boston to Chicago has been significantly delayed.

After attending the JEA Journalism Convention in Boston, Massachusetts, the Drops of Ink staff’s flight was originally scheduled to land in the Chicago O’Hare airport at 12:45pm CST. After circling Chicago, the current high winds and tornados deemed the aircraft unfit to land. The flight was rerouted and it landed in Cleveland, Ohio at 2:45pm EST to refuel and wait out the weather.

There is currently no new information as to when a flight will be connecting to Chicago O’Hare.

UPDATE: At 5:15pm EST, Flight 1462 reboarded and headed toward Chicago O’Hare airport.

UPDATE:  Landing at 6:45pm CST at O’Hare, Flight 1462 remained in active taxi for another hour and a half caused by extreme traffic backups from multiple other flights.

UPDATE: Arriving back at LHS at 9:15pm, the Drops of Ink staff unanimously agreed that there was no place like home sweet home.
