“Moving here was absolutely the most [life changing experience]. I’ve been at the same school for my whole life. Then, suddenly moving here has changed my perspective on everything. Firstly, I had preconceived ideas of how it would be here because of movies. Also, online there was this girl that said ‘don’t move and go to school senior year, everyone is super cliquey and unfriendly.’ So, I went in with that mindset that it was going to be a bit difficult. Coming in here, I was like okay this is not what I expected at all. It was a nice surprise.”

Senior Ditiro Maaga moved to Libertyville from South Africa three weeks ago.
