On Thursday, April 13, Oak Grove School held its Biannual Fine Arts Day, where students of all grades were able to see various art related attractions, featuring some LHS programs, as well as outside performances, to inspire students and inform them of the many opportunities available at LHS for participating in the arts.

A Fine Day for Some Arts

LHS guitar teacher Mr. David Ness and guitar students Thomas Power and Luke Christensen performed songs such as “Sweet Home Chicago” and “Johnny B. Goode” for Oak Grove students in the junior high cafeteria, where students enjoyed the performance and clapped their hands to the beat. Mr. Ness also talked with students about the blues as well as Jazz Appreciation Month. He discussed the many opportunities LHS offers for students who want to play guitar, such as the guitar classes, Guitar Club and the Jazz Band.
