Writers Week at Libertyville High School is a four-day event in which writers, poets, singers, and songwriters perform their work, teach what led them to their current profession and engage the audience to help promote creativity in writing. Throughout the four days, several established professionals, such as poet Derrick Brown, singer and songwriter Daphne Willis, and comic book designer Andy Schmidt, discussed their life, profession, and creative workflow. Additionally, several students performed their own work, from poems and shorts stories to music. Writers Week is a popular annual event for students and faculty alike.
