Starring: Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin
Summary: Tyler Hawkins (Robert Pattinson) is a college-age student living in New York City. While trying to defend his friend in a fight, Tyler gets in trouble with the police. He then meets Ally Craig (Emilie de Ravin), figuring out that she is the daughter of the police officer who caught him. And what better way to tick him off than ask his daughter on a date? But what starts out as a joke quickly turns into love. What then follows is a great story about family ties between siblings and a couple’s development of love through loss and tragedy.
Pros: A great plot, unexpected twists, multi-dimensional characters, and heart-warming professions of love keep the audience interested through the whole movie. Also, Robert Pattinson’s acting is much better than in the “Twilight” series.
Cons: There aren’t many, except for the less-than-fantastic ending, which many viewers say could have been left out. Also, the movie isn’t very relatable, since not many of us have experienced the tragedies portrayed in it.
Rating: 3 out of 4 stars
