Who is your pick to win March Madness?
Memphis. I live with a basketball coach and a basketball player. It is being talked about constantly in my home. I understand Memphis is not the popular favorite, but they are a solid pick. They have consistently won 30 games a year.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Whether he is treating patients or robbing banks, I would have to say George Clooney.
What was your dream job as a kid?
The great thing about being a kid is shooting for the stars. I think I would have dreamed about being an Olympic gymnast–probably before I grew to be 5’9”.
What is your favorite snack food?
Ice cream–any time–any flavor.
What is the nastiest food you have ever eaten?
Probably frog legs. They actually didn’t taste too bad, but the thought of it was a little unsettling.
If you could have any super power what would it be?
Definitely flying. It seems so freeing.
What is your favorite movie and why?
I have many favorites, but the one I have viewed the most times is “Sound of Music.” I love when she makes everyone outfits out of the draperies. I also love Forest Gump–the history, the humor and the great music.
Do you like reality TV?
I don’t watch a lot of it because I don’t think it really mirrors reality. I am a “Dancing with the Stars” fan and an “American Idol” fan.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
Since I was born in Europe I have had the opportunity to travel quite extensively there. I think I would like to visit China. Meeting the students who came to LHS from China this year really influenced my desire.
What has been your worst job?
I can’t think of any that were really bad. One summer in college I did clerical work for an armored car service. It was a very secure and isolated environment with few people around to talk to.
What is your favorite book and why?
My favorite classic is “To Kill a Mockingbird.” I read a lot. I enjoy historical fiction like “The Kite Runner” or “The Reader.”
What would be your “last supper?”
Actually, breakfast is my favorite meal. It would be a veggie omelet with a great cup of coffee.
If you could be anyone in the world, who would you be?
Cheryl Burke on “Dancing with the Stars” this season. Just kidding. I think I would like to be Oprah because she gets to meet such a variety of interesting people.
