What’s the weirdest dream you remember having?
Okay, funny you should ask – I was just telling a friend about a recent dream where I was being chased around a house by a grizzly bear?!! Yeah…not sure where that came from, but I remember waking up, my heart racing like I was really running!  Do you suppose someone could interpret this for me?

If you could describe yourself in one word what would it be?
Loyal. That’s what my friends would say.

What is something nobody knows about you?
If I tell you, then it would be something everyone knows about me. Hmmm…only a few might know that I’ve traveled to 12 different countries and served in the Philippines as a nurse at a refugee camp.  Certainly one of the most challenging and rewarding times of my life.

Pens or pencils?
Definitely pens, and they have to be black. That’s old school nursing drilled into me when I was a student nurse.  Pens are permanent, and back in the day (way back…) copiers could only pick up black ink, so all our hospital documentation had to be written in black ink.

Favorite place in the world?
Easy – sitting in a boat on Lake of the Woods in Ontario, Canada, with a fishing pole in my hand. Or sitting on the dock with a good book, family and friends, soaking up the sunshine and scenery. Only 34 more days until I will be doing just that.

If you could go to space, would you?
Probably not. I'm a little afraid of heights.

Favorite number?
I’m not a big numbers person, but if I had to pick, I’d go with 12. It’s my birthday and the best NFL QB’s number: Aaron Rodgers!

One thing you couldn’t live without?
Okay, I have two things – sports and music.

What did you want to be when you were younger?
I remember in first or second grade that I wanted to be a stewardess (yes, there was a time when it was okay to call them that…) or a figure skater. The stewardess idea quickly faded, along with figure skating, probably since I wasn’t the most graceful girl on the ice. Since then I’ve always wanted to be a nurse.

If you could only watch three movies for the rest of your life what would they be?
"Star Wars", "Chariots of Fire", "Sleepless in Seattle".

If you were stuck on a desert island and could only bring four items, what would they be?
My Bible, my best friend, ice cream, my ipod.

Who is your hero?
I’ve got two – my mom and my best friend, Chris. They are amazing women of faith, character, courage, wisdom and perseverance. I’ve learned so much from them over the years and admire them for who they are and what they’ve accomplished.

Weirdest nickname you’ve ever been given?
Oh my gosh – with a first name like Cam…insert your favorite here:  Camera, Cam shaft, Twin Cam engine, Camcorder, Camalamadingdong (one of my favorites!), Camonbert cheese, Mario Camdretti…

What was your favorite subject in school?
If you’re talking high school, my favorite class was AP Biology with Mr. “O” (Oilschlager) here at LHS! He was my favorite teacher and made that class a lot of fun.

Weirdest injury you’ve ever had to heal?
There have been many unusual injuries, but one I remember was a kid who was running on the track barefoot.  Here’s my warning for the faint of heart – might want to skip this story - He “stubbed” his toe and ended up what we medical people call “degloving” his toe, meaning, the top of his big toe basically peeled off and was hanging on the side of his foot with the bone sticking out. He had severely dislocated his toe. It was fun to watch the paramedics' reactions as they arrived on the scene, thinking it was just a little toe injury until they saw it. I remember my first thought was, “Wow!  Bone is really shiny and white - cool!”  Lesson learned – wear shoes when running on the track.

Greatest advice you’ve ever been given?
Pray.

Worst “fake sick” attempt you’ve ever seen?
Wow.  Well – there have been just a few of these over the years, as many of you reading this know exactly who I’m talking about! :)  I can’t reveal my secret strategies in recognizing the “fake sick” attempts, but most attempts are rather easy to diagnose.

If you could domesticate any animal, which would you pick? Why?
Well, that’s a fun question to think about. On the practical side, monkeys would be helpful (African Colobus monkeys with the long tails). I would train them to clean my home, cook meals, wash dishes, do my laundry…although, I’ve always wanted an authentic bear hug from a big black bear. (Note: I did not say grizzly for those of you paying attention to the prior questions.)

What movie makes you cry?
What movie doesn’t make me cry? I’m a hopeless romantic and lover of the happy endings that make you cry.

If you could be on any TV show, what would it be?
Well, many of you are too young to remember this one, but when I was growing up, it was “Emergency!” I wanted to be “Nurse Dixie McCall” and hang out with Johnny and Roy, the cute paramedics. Now, I’d say “Hawaii Five-O.” Steve McGarrett can rescue me anytime!

What’s your biggest fear?
Spiders!!! I hate spiders!! I remember calling my dad into the bathroom to kill a spider that was in our tub when I was little.  He thought something horrible had happened to me, only to find me standing there crying because a spider was in the tub. In my defense, it was really big and hairy…really big.

What was the best Halloween costume you wore as a kid?
Once again, dating myself here, but one of my favorites was Laura Ingalls Wilder from "Little House on the Prairie". I looked just like Melissa Gilbert.

If you could pick an actor to play you in a movie of your life, who would you choose?
Julia Roberts.

What would be your “last supper?”
Deep dish spinach pizza with lots of ice cream for dessert.

If you could have any super power what would it be?
The power of healing, of course.
