Jeremy Birck

Why did you choose your school?
"I chose Dartmouth because I love the campus and the coaches are super chill."

Will you be playing right away, or will you have to wait?
"I will be high-jumping for the team right when I get there."

Explain the recruiting process:
"It was an awesome but stressful experience because I constantly felt pressured. I had about four or five schools that I was considering."

Thoughts from Coach Albin:
"
Jeremy is a 2-time state qualifier and 3-time NSC Conference Champion. Jeremy's tremendous work ethic, enormous natural talent and attention to detail will guarantee him uncommon success as he heads off to Dartmouth next year."

Catie Steffen

Why did you choose your school?
"When I visted, it felt like home."

Will you be playing right away, or will you have to wait?
"I will immediately compete for a starting spot."

Explain the recruiting process:
"It was a stressful stuation for me individually because I got into the process of recruiting late in the game."

Thoughts from Coach Loika:
"Catie’s volleyball career was night and day from where she started as a sophomore when she came from Florida three years ago–a tremendous amount of growth from then to her Senior season. She worked incredibly hard on all parts of her game, not only personally, but also to contribute in a large way to the success of the varsity team over the past 2 seasons. She will be missed by our program both on and off the court."

Joey Eichmann

Why did you choose your school?
"I wanted to go to a college that felt like home and where I felt welcome. Purdue provided that for me."

Will you be playing right away, or will you have to wait?
"Playing right away."

Explain the recruiting process:
"It was really exciting, but stressful at the same time. It really took up a lot of time."

Thoughts from Coach Schurr:
"Joey Eichmann has been a three-year starter for the varsity baseball team. Going 8-0 as a sophomore, he felt enlightened that he could be something special. Joey’s work ethic has earned him a spot on the Purdue University Baseball team where he will be competing in college."

Mimi Conley

Why did you choose your school?
"I chose to play at the University of Michigan because it’s a Big 10 school so the games will be very fun and big, and they have a skilled team."

Will you be playing right away, or will you hae to wait?
"Yes, I’ll be on the team, performing with them right away."

Explain the recruiting process:
"Because cheerleading isn’t a scholarship sport at Michigan and most schools, I wasn’t scouted. All the schools whose coaches I talked to wanted me to be on the team or try out, but since it isn’t a scholarship sport they didn’t recruit or anything."

Thoughts from Coach Niemet:
"Mimi was a dedicated cheerleader. She had all of the qualities of a leader, competitor and friend. I’m sure that she will use all of these qualities and be great when she cheers at Michigan."

A.J. Schurr

Why did you choose your school?
"[Playing at West Point] is a great academic and life opportunity. And I have the chance to play football there."

Will you be playing right away, or will you have to wait?
"I will probably not play for one year."

Explain the recruiting process:
"The process was nerve-racking and exciting." (A.J. recieved offers from The Citadel, Illinois State, South Dakota and Air Force)

Thoughts from Coach Kuceyeski:
"A.J. was a warrior during his two year varsity career here at LHS. He took an unbelievable amount of punishment every game and still gave us everything he had. He has re-written the record books as far as his passing and total offensive stats, and those will not be broken for a long time. He will have a great career ahead of him at Army."
