Adviser: Mrs. Aiello

Purpose: To invite all students to rollerblade around Libertyville and meet other LHS students

History: Sk8rs is a new club this year, created by seniors Nikki Indart and Lindsay Bodeman because of their love to skate.

What they do: Skate around Butler Lake and nearby neighborhoods, hoping to expand their locations to areas such as Independence Grove

When they meet: Every Tuesday after school, directly outside the band doors

Who should join: Any student who has an interest in rollerblading.

Positives about the club: Sk8rs is an outdoor club, and although the cold weather is approaching, they hope to continue their weekly meetings. Rather than skate outdoors, they plan to attend roller rinks and possibly even ice rinks. It is a way to meet fellow LHS skaters and learn more about rollerblading.

Member opinions:
“It’s amazing,” senior member Michelle Zhang said.
“I encourage everyone to try it out because Sk8rs is an awesome way to meet great people, get exercise and rollerblade,” co-founder Nikki Indart said.

What an awesome club! I'll be sure to check it out. Next week, do SPARK or French club-- they're awesome too!
