After a gut-wrenching one-goal win at Lake Forest last week, and another win against Mundelein, the Wildcats kept rolling, defeating a strong Barrington team easily on Tuesday, 9-6.

The game started out uneventful, as the first couple rushes by the Wildcats yielded no points. Then, senior defender Connor Shanks took the ball coast to coast, driving the ball past Bronco goalie Tyler Fitzgerald, giving the Wildcats the early lead.

From there on, the Wildcats controlled the game, shutting down Barrington on defense by forcing them to keep the ball on the perimeter and giving the Broncos very poor shot selection.

The Wildcats offense played their part too, with seniors Ian Smith and Nick Schuler finishing with a goal a piece, while fellow seniors Bryan Dickson and Miller Carroll finished with two. Junior Billy Stock also scored.

Junior Brian Rooney scored on a nice shot up close, rocketing the ball past Fitzgerald, getting leveled by a Bronco defender, and proceeding to do an impromptu backflip.

Barrington's Nick Vostal finished with a team leading two goals on the night.

The Wildcats take on Neuqua Valley at home on Thursday.
